How
it Works:
Incoming mail is
scanned and distributed via email using Microsoft Outlook, Lotus Notes,
or IBM Content Manager OnDemand. The end result is an incoming mail
delivery system that increases mailroom productivity, saves time, and
is easy to use
The MailScan solution is a three-part system of interlocking pieces.
Each piece is designed to seamlessly integrate into your existing email
environment. Here’s a look at what’s included:
Barcode Label
Printing Software and Hardware
Easy to use
software is included to print sheets of labels on standard laser
printers or individual labels on a personal barcode label printer.
Outlook and
Lotus Notes Integration Software
The software that
comes with the package can read the Contacts from Outlook or Notes.
Alternatively, you can use any ODBC compliant database that contains
valid Email addresses.
MailScan

MailScan is
scanned using the industry- leading Kofax Ascent Capture 5 software.
Kofax supports the latest scanners from Fujitsu, Bell & Howell,
Kodak and many others.

IBM Content
Manager OnDemand Option
MailScan has a
built-in option that stores the scanned documents in IBM's Content
Manager OnDemand system. Mail can then be stored in an IBM archive and
the recipient’s email contains a link to this archive. After entering a
user ID and password, the document is displayed.
